Established and operated according to a long‐held commitment to form a professional Malaysian‐based geospatial services business, RS & GIS have grown since their early days as a ‘boutique’ mapping company, into a diversified full‐service geospatial solutions provider, with an experienced and dedicated team of Malaysian‐based and Malaysian‐grown professionals, and backed by a pedigree borne from the successful execution of over 100 major mapping projects, and 60 airborne mapping campaigns, over the last decade. In 2018, RS & GIS has been appointed as the Geospatial Data Consultant (GDC) for the Kuala Lumpur – Singapore High Speed Rail Project (MyHSR).
The company is led by Mr Awang Abdullah Awang Razak, who has a vast experienced in application and implementation of geospatial technologies and solutions while actively promoting the utilization of Geospatial Technologies. Mr Awang Abdullah maintained the strategic relationships with the entire client worldwide and will continue to promote state-of-the-art remote sensing technologies and advanced GIS analyses techniques in Malaysia and neighboring countries. Awang Abdullah worked closely with a few local based firms, strategically located in the three major geographical zones of Malaysia; namely West Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak. These firms act as value-added resellers to RESGIS, who holds the intellectual properties and marketing rights to all these technologies.
RS & GIS is appointed as KANZU Research: Resilient Built Environment Platinum Research Partner (PRP) for its various research projects particularly for the MOBILISE (KANZU Research – University of Salford, UK). RS & GIS will be the main contributor in providing MOBILISE geospatial services, datasets and other related information. RS & GIS will be engaging with MOBILISE project until 2020.
